SWLE would like to congratulate our 2009-2010 Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Jestine Evans. Mrs. Evans is picture below with her grandson.

Southwest Laurens Elementary is pleased to announce that four teams from Mrs. Denise Taylor's 4th grade class have entered the Georgia ETC Project Based Learning PROMOTE web site contest. The web sites relate to 4th grade Social Studies Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) and would be good review for the 4th grade CRCT. The sites are as follows:
Events of the American Revolution
Explorers of North America
Native Americans of North America
People of the American Revolution
Also, four teams from Ms. Belinda Rozar's 4th grade class have entered the Georgia ETC Project Based Learning PROMOTE video contest. These videos relate to the 4th grade Social Studies Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) as well. Click on the links below and you should be able to view the movies.

The awards ceremony will take place at Theater Dublin on May 13th.
